You should also consider that:
- Your personal web developing skills will be greatly enhanced if you know how to write valid HTML - which is a fundamental aspect of accessible web material. This puts you at an advantage over those who use authoring tools to create material which often has major accessibility problems.
- At some time in your life your eyesight and dexterity will start to deteriorate, (if they haven't already!). Wouldn't it be wise to make sure that you can read your own material however old you are?
- It happens more often than you might think - a tragic accident leaves a user blind. Or someone breaks their wrist and temporarily can't type. Accessible sites allow such people to carry on with their work regardless.
